  cystech electronics corp. spec. no. : c526e3 issued date : 2003.04.02 revised date : page no. : 1/3 pl7815e3 cystek product specification 3-terminal positive voltage regulator PL7815XE3 description the PL7815XE3 series of three-terminal positive regulators are available in the to-220ab package. these regulators can provide local on -card regulation, elimi nating the distribution problems associated with single point regulation. each employs internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe operating area protection, making it essentially indestructible. if adequate heat sinking is provided, they can de liver over 1a output current. although designed primarily as fixed voltage regul ators, these devices can be us ed with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents.
